Multiple factors come into measuring good battery life. Of course, we all consider energy consumption, battery size and all those technicalities, but charging technology is also a salient part of a pleasant experience. We care if the phone has wireless charging or quick charge support, for example.

At MWC we got to see something outstanding being made by OPPO. They call it Super VOOC Flash Charge – a technology that can charge a 2,500 mAh battery in just 15 minutes. Yes, from 0% to 100%. Needless to say this is an impressive feat, but even more exciting is hearing that the OPPO Find 9 might support it.

Keep in mind this is still a rumor, though. The information comes from Chinese website KKJ. There’s a couple leaked press photos in there, but the most important bit of information comes from what looks like an OPPO Find 9 advert, showing off its charging prowess.

Now, there is something to consider. If the OPPO Find 9 will charge in 15 minutes, just as that test battery at MWC did – does that mean the OPPO Find 9 will also sport a 2,500 mAh battery? That will probably leave users wanting more. Yes, a full charge in 15 minutes is awesome, but not if you have to be doing it too often. Maybe they have improved their technology. We shall see.

Rumored OPPO Find 9 specs include a 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, a 16 MP rear camera and a 4 MP front shooter. There’s also said to be a higher-end version coming with a 2K screen and 4/6 GB of RAM.

The only truth here is that we won’t know the details until the announcement… whenever that is. Just try to take it all with a grain of salt. But tell us, guys. Would you mind a smaller battery if you can charge it in just 15 minutes?
