Acer Liquid Zest Plus launching in July
At its annual press conference in New York last month, Acer only announced one Android device and the company has revealed said handset, interestingly named as the Acer Liquid Zest Plus, will launch stateside in July.
The Liquid Zest Plus – whose name could easily have been used on a bottle of washing up liquid – is an interesting smartphone, not just for its name. Apart from an average specs list that is indicative of its $199 price tag, the key standout feature is its monstrous 5,000 mAh battery, which Acer claim will offer 3 days battery life from a single charge.
What else does your money get you? Not an awful lot as the rest of the specs list very much lives up to its budget price tag. It features a 5.5-inch 720p IPS display and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor with Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Under the hood comes 16GB storage, which can be expanded via a microSD card, while also onboard is LTE Cat 4 support, DTS sound, a 13MP rear snapper, 5MP front snapper and fast battery charging.
The Liquid Zest Plus will cost just $199 when it launches in July and at that price, it’s certainly a good device if you’re looking for a capable smartphone that is no thrills, no fuss.
