Rugged Alcatel GO PLAY now available for $199.99, free case included

Alcatel has released a phone that may be able to put up with your fun and active lifestyle. It is not the super high-end smartphone of our dreams, but the Alcatel GO PLAY sure has plenty to offer considering its low $199.99 price point. And it is now available for purchase straight from Alcatel’s website.

But what is this phone all about? We understand it’s easy for a gadget like this one to fly under the radar, but it will probably cater a good experience to the right user. It will be especially enticing if you are a bit rough on your phones. Though it doesn’t seem that tough, the Alcatel GO PLAY has an IP67 rating – it is shock, water and dust resistant. You can even take it for a swim and take underwater shots.

Specs include a 5-inch 720p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, microSD support, an 8 MP rear camera, a 5 MP front shooter and a 2500 mAh battery. Not too bad for $200, right?

And if a rugged body is not enough, Alcatel is also throwing in a free case for all customers, for a limited time. The case comes available in multiple colors too. You know, just to keep things fun.
