There’s been a lot of talk lately about Android 5.0 Lollipop coming to the current batch of flagships smartphones, most of which are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon line-up of processors. However, the latest version of Android will also be heading to a range of other devices too, including those powered Allwinner’s latest range of mobile SoCs.

Android 5.0 Lollipop will be heading out to Allwinner processor-based tablets in the very near future. An Allwinner A33 quad-core tablet will be making an appearance sometime later this month, followed by Allwinner octa-core A80 and A83T devices sometime in early 2015.

As well as smartphones and tablets, Allwinner is also set to form the backbone some future Android TV products, which will also be powered by its octo-core A80 chip. The A80 is built from four ARM Cortex-A15 and four Cortex-A7 CPU cores, accompanied by a high-end PowerVR G6230 GPU.

The first video below demonstrates just how smooth Lollipop looks running on an Allwinner A80 powered tablet and the second one shows off some Android TV functionality running on an A80.
