Android Marshmallow arrives for the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact

Sony has begun rolling out its Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update to the LTE and WiFi models of its Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact today.

Sony has already found the time to roll out Android Marshmallow to its Xperia Z3 and Z2 smartphones, and today the company has begun beaming the update over the air to its Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact as well.

The update carries the build number 23.5.A.0.570 and upgrades the tablet straight to Android 6.0.1. I’m sure you’re all aware about what is included with Marshmallow by now, including Doze and new configurable app permissions, and Sony’s tweaks on top remain mostly minimalist.

The update is live for the LTE (SGP621, SGP641) and Wi-Fi (SGP611, SGP612) variants of the Sony’s tablet. If you haven’t spotted that update notification just yet, downloadable firmware links are sure to be making their way online as we speak.
