Carmageddon: Crashers out now on Google Play
You know how in the movies the heroes always play chicken with the villains in narrow alleyways, just for the villain to veer to the side at the last possible moment and leave the hero’s car unscathed? Carmageddon: Crashers is like that, but no one moves out of the way.
Carmageddon: Crashers will put you in the driver’s seat of a wrecking ball on wheels that you’ve built and customized yourself. In order to win, you have to crash into your opponent hard enough to wreck their car without wrecking yours. While this is not how Newton’s third law of motion works, the game sure looks like fun.
To improve the so-called Impact Force of your vehicle, you need to apply different upgrades to it. The matches themselves play like a good old drag-racing game – you just have to put the pedal down and shift at the perfect moment in order to pick up as much speed as possible. The combined result of the drag-styled minigame and the Impact Force of the car determine the winner.
If you’re a fan of the Carmageddon series, this looks like a nice little time-killer with its fast-paced matches and low skill requirements. It’s also free (with in-app purchases) on Google Play, so you can go right ahead and download it.
Also, make sure to let us know if you agree with its PEGI 18 rating. While the game is about crashing cars into each other at full speed, isn’t the rating a bit too much?
