Cricket has revealed that they are now carrying the affordable ZTE Grand X Max 2, a 6-inch device that only runs you $199.99 with activation and which comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It might not have all the specs under the hood to make it competitive with modern flagships, but if you use your device primarily for streaming videos and taking notes, then this is definitely a tempting offer.

The ZTE Grand X Max 2’s main selling point is certainly its lush, large display, which runs 1080p resolution. Inside is a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm processor powered by 2GB of RAM. You’ll get 16 gigs of internal storage, but if you need a bit more room, then you can expand up to 64GB via microSD. The battery is a healthy 3400mAh component, which means you can wring a pretty lengthy life out of these mid-range components. Quick Charge 2.0 support will let you cap off that battery in no time at all as well.

Camera-wise, the device supports the increasingly popular dual-camera on the back, the main one with 13 megapixels and the other with 2 megapixels. The selfie snapper delivers 5MP. It probably won’t win you any photograph awards, but for a budget conscious user, this isn’t a bad option at all.
