Galaxy Note 8 pre-order buyers reportedly will get some nice freebies
We are less than a week away from the August 23 Samsung Unpacked press event in New York City, where the company is expected to officially reveal the Galaxy Note 8 as its latest flagship smartphone. Now, reliable leaker Evan Blass claims that pre-orders for the phone will begin the day after the event, on August 24, ahead of its launch on September 15. More importantly, Blass’ tweet claims that buyers in the US will get some free accessories for the Note 8.
CORRECTION: the options are as follows1. 256GB card + wireless charger
2. 360 camSorry for the confusion. https://t.co/Db42n4kVCf— Evan Blass (@evleaks) August 19, 2017
Blass posted on Twitter today that Note 8 pre-orders will come with a choice of either a 360-degree camera or a 256 GB microSD card and a convertible wireless charger from Samsung. We would assume this would be the 2017 edition of the Samsung Gear 360 camera that was first launched earlier this spring. But if shooting VR video isn’t your thing, a high capacity SD card and wireless charger certainly might.
Blass also states that European Note 8 pre-order buyers will be able to get a free Samsung DeX dock. This accessory, which launched around the time of the Galaxy S8 earlier this year, can turn that smartphone into a PC desktop, when the phone, a mouse, a keyboard and a monitor are all connected to the dock.
We will be attending the Samsung Unpacked event on Wednesday and will have full coverage of the Galaxy Note 8 launch. In the meantime, do you like that Samsung is reportedly offering some nice freebies for Note 8 pre-orders? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
