Deal: Gear Fit 2 for just $99 ($80 off), via Verizon

When the Gear Fit 2 debuted back in June it did so at a price of $179.99. Interested in the wearable but not so keen on the price? Verizon has your back, as it is currently offering the fitness tracker for just $99.99.

For those who like color options, unfortunately the Blue and Pink models aren’t available, and so you’re left with just dark gray. At least there’s still the choice between a small or large band size.

As a refresher, the Gear Fit 2 features a 1.5-inch curved Super AMOLED display, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of on-board storage, GPS connectivity, and is powered by Tizen OS. It also has IP68 dust and water resistance, making it possible to use the tracker in just about any setting.

What do you think, worth picking up at this reduced price? If not, what tracker would you recommend to folks over this Samsung-made one?
