Google is testing a redesigned Weather Card interface
Regular users of Google Now will certainly be familiar with the Weather Card. But it seems that Google may not be completely happy with the current design or functionality of this particular card, as the company appears to be testing out a redesign, according to several sources that have popped up online.
Although only very few users have noticed the change, a new Weather Card has appeared with an overhauled look. The background color of the card now appears to be dependent on the current time of day and weather conditions, rather than just being than plain old white color. The graphics have also taken a more cartoonish turn and there are even some cute looking graphics applied to the today forecast tab, which you can see below.
The updated card also features some new functionality. The today view now displays additional information about air quality, sunrise and sunset times, and even other health related messages. There are three different tabs, which display weather information for today, tomorrow and the next ten days.
There hasn’t been any official word from Google about the new design and the very limited roll out of the card suggests that the design is undergoing a very small trial run. We will just have to sit tight to see if this becomes a new feature for everyone.
