Google Wallet and Google Camera both get updates this 'Update Wednesday'
While Google’s big Maps update was actually on a Tuesday, don’t worry, Google still has a few updates in store for us this unofficial Update Wednesday. First up, we have an update for Google Wallet, which brings us a simple account switcher designed to make it easy to switch between your Wallet accounts.
Aside from the new account selector feature, the Wallet update also brings a few changes to the UI such as moving the cards selector to the slideout nav and renaming it Cards and accounts. There’s also a new option that allows you to receive a notification for package shipment status on items ordered using Wallet. The update doesn’t just add features, however, it also takes them away. Gone is the explore offers” feature, though that appears to be the only thing removed in the update.
To grab the latest update, you’ll want to head over to Google Play, though keep in mind it may take a few days to reach everyone.
Google’s Camera also getting a minor update
Google Wallet isn’t the only app getting an update today, as Google’s Camera is also seeing a minor update. While not as significant as Maps or even the Wallet update, the new camera app adds (or really re-adds) the ability to capture photos while recording videos. While not a massive change, it is still a welcome one.
Aside from this? The only other noticeable change is that the shutter button no longer shifts sides during 180 or 90 degree rotation. Just like with Google Wallet, you’ll find the latest update by going to Google Play.
