Leaked images of the HONOR V8 showcase the dual camera
Back in April, HUAWEI teased that the release of their next HONOR-branded device would be unveiled on May 10, 2016. We watched it pass through China’s TENAA regulatory agency and got a good look at what the HONOR V8 would be running under the hood, and now, just a scant day before its official unveiling, we’re catching a glimpse of some leaked pics showing the device in the wild.
The photos aren’t much to look at in terms of quality, but they do give us a great angle on the dual camera setup and the fingerprint scanner. We’re also seeing how those 157.00 × 77.60 × 7.75 mm dimensions wind up appearing in actual human hands.
The HONOR V8 runs a 2.3GHz octa-core processor and houses 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. If you want more space, there’s also a microSD card slot for expandable storage. The screen is 5.7 inches and has 1080p resolution. There is also a slightly more powerful variant of the device that runs a faster processor clocked at 2.5GHz and comes with 64GB of internal memory. This variant has the same screen size, but more pixels are crammed into it, giving it a QHD 2560 x 1440 display.
Both variants will come with dual 12 megapixel rear cameras and a single 8 megapixel selfie snapper. The battery is 3,400mAh, and it will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box. No word on the price yet, but if HUAWEI comes through on their teasing, then we should find out tomorrow.
