Lil Wayne gives the Galaxy S7 Edge the champagne treatment... again

Poor Lil Wayne, the guy just doesn’t seem to know where his mouth is. Constantly pouring champagne on his smartphone and probably talking into a bottle to make calls. But the guy seriously likes the fact his Galaxy S7 Edge still works under a foaming layer of bubbles, as you can see in the latest commercial to feature the star.

Lil Wayne strolls through a convenience store, all the while pouring bubbles on his phone. As one bottle ends he simply pops open another to continue the sparkling rain. Using Samsung Pay at the register to pay on the way out, Lil Wayne manages to nicely demo two features of the Galaxy S7: its IP68 water-resistance rating and Samsung Pay, which works on both NFC and MST payment terminals.

Samsung has proven itself adept at getting the right level of humor into these Galaxy S7 ads – not taking itself too seriously or letting the stars in the ads take themselves too seriously either. From Wesley Snipes freaking out in a Gear VR while Lil Wayne delivers a baby elephant to William H. Macy daydreaming about how great a Galaxy spokesperson he’d be.
