Motorola is the latest to confirm its MWC 2017 press event on Feb. 26
Sunday, February 26, is looking more and more like a huge day for fans of smartphones. Today, Lenovo’s Motorola division sent invites to media outlets, including Android Authority, to attend its press event on that day in Barcelona, Spain as part of the 2017 Mobile World Congress trade show.
The actual invite offers no real clues at to what Motorola might be showing off at the event. It’s more than possible we could get to see the official reveal of the Moto G5 Plus. It’s also very likely that the company will show off some new Moto Mod accessories for its Moto Z family of smartphones.
As we said, Feb. 26 is already going to be crowded with press events in Barcelona as part of MWC 2017. They include media events for HUAWEI, who says it will reveal a “new flagship device” at its press conference. Also, HMD Global is teasing some announcements coming for its recently launched Nokia brand of smartphones on that same day. LG is also planning on officially revealing its new LG G6 phone as part of MWC 2017, although there’s no word on a specific date for its press event.
