Nintendo’s Fire Emblem: Heroes tactical RPG debuts on Android February 2
While gamers wait for Nintendo to launch Super Mario Run in the Google Play Store, the company’s third mobile game will make its debut on Android alongside the iOS version this time around. Fire Emblem: Heroes, a tactical-RPG based on Nintendo’s long-running fantasy game franchise, will officially launch on February 2.
The turn-based game has been designed with mobile touchscreens in mind. Players pick their teams of Heroes, some of which come from previous Fire Emblem games along with others that are making their debut with this release. Each hero has his or her own special abilities and weapons, along with special attacks. Players can launch attacks against enemies by just swiping a hero over an opponent. After battles, players get skill points that they can use to upgrade their heroes.
The game will feature both story-based levels along with arena battles, which offer a way for players to battle others in multiplayer matches. There’s also Training Tower mode, where you can compete in randomly generated arenas with different enemies, and Hero Battles, which are special challenges that are only available for a limited time.
You can go ahead and pre-register right now for Fire Emblem: Heroes in the Google Play Store. Doing so will give you an alert when the game goes live. So, who’s excited?!
