Now hear this: Verizon's former advertising actor now working for Sprint

Once upon a time Verizon had a catchphrase that was so eponymous with the company that to this day it still rings a bell when people hear it. It began in 2002 and lasted until 2011. The slogan was, of course, “can you hear me now?” and was a seemingly tongue-in-cheek jab at rival carriers who couldn’t quite compete with the purported powerful reception of Big Red. Each commercial would find Paul Marcarelli, in a new location asking the catch phrase with the idea being, of course no matter where he goes Verizon’s network is sound.

The slogan has remain dormant for years now, yet curiously enough Mr. Marcarelli can now be heard…advertising Sprint of all companies. A new commercial has the actor owning up to his former image with the idea that he has now switched to Sprint:
