OnePlus promises sub-60 minute smartphone delivery in London

If you really dislike delivery times, happen to want a new smartphone in the next couple of days, and live in London UK, then OnePlus is running another marketing stunt that just might appeal to you. The Chinese smartphone company has teamed up with local delivery service Henchman to bring your new smartphone directly to your door in less than an hour.

[related_videos align=”right” type=”custom” videos=”656620,637478″]As part of the promotion, you can order either an OnePlus 2 or the OnePlus X. There’s even a chance to receive a limited-edition OnePlus X as a surprise or an OnePlus 2 goody bag full of accessories.

Henchman usually applies a 10% delivery charge on top of the regular retail price, so the OnePlus 2 will cost £317.90 including delivery, or you can grab the cheaper OnePlus X for £218.90, compared to the £289 and £199 regular retail prices respectively. However, the delivery charges will be dropped on Thursday January 21^st (tomorrow) as part of the promotion and you won’t need an invite either.

Perhaps best of all, if your delivery doesn’t arrive in under 60 minutes, then your new smartphone won’t cost you a penny. Such is Henchman’s confidence in its ability to nip through the London traffic. As usual, stock will be limited and you’ll need to double check that the company will actually deliver to your part of London.

OnePlus and Henchman announce the ’60 Minutes or Free’ delivery campaign, in which the OnePlus 2 ‘flagship killer’ and exquisitely designed OnePlus X smartphones will be available for free delivery in central London by on demand concierge service Henchman on Thursday Jan 21 – and they’re free if they don’t arrive in 60 minutes.

The devices, which start at £289 for the OnePlus 2 and £199 for the OnePlus X, are available invite free on a first come, first served basis across the Henchman central London delivery area.

Additionally, everyone who orders a OnePlus handset via Henchman receives a free OnePlus gift, and:

• One person who orders the OnePlus X will instead get a limited-edition OnePlus X Ceramic (randomly selected)
• One person who orders the OnePlus 2 will also receive a premium gift bag, filled with accessories and other goodies (randomly selected)

Orders can be made via the Henchman website, and supplies will be limited, with stocks replenished at 10am,12-noon and 2pm.

Henchman is available across central London – from Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush in the west, to Shoreditch and the City in the east, and from Camden and Primrose Hill in the North to Battersea and Bermondsey in the south.
