Square Enix pokes some fun at Pokémon GO's naming scheme
I’m sure you’ve all heard the news that Pokémon GO is now available in the Play Store in many regions. Developed by Niantic, Inc., Pokémon GO is an augmented reality game that lets you search for and capture Pokémon around your physical environment. It’s quite fun, if you’ve never given it a shot.
That name – Pokémon GO – actually might be a little confusing for some users though.
Square Enix’s Hitman GO and Lara Croft GO might share the same naming scheme, but they basically have nothing else in common. Hitman GO and Lara Croft GO are turn-based puzzle games that have pretty much nothing to do with augmented reality, while Pokémon GO, of course, is based heavily on AR gameplay.
So instead of getting upset about the similarly-named Pokémon title, Square Enix took to Twitter to poke some fun at the naming scheme.

As you can see in the video attached above, Square Enix has put Ash, Pikachu and Snorlax into the Hitman GO world. Now, this isn’t a real game, but it’s very well done and looks like it could be real.
Even though this Pokémon GO/Hitman GO title isn’t a reality, the real Pokémon GO game is out now on Android. Head to the Play Store to give it a shot!
