The Rock Clock is exactly what you would expect from an app made by Dwayne Johnson

If you’re not a fan of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, then you might want to get tested for being a human because it’s possible you’re some sort of invading alien species or unwitting replicant. For the rest of us, there’s The Rock Clock. It’s astounding addition to the Google Play Store that promises to wake you up every morning smelling what the Rock is cooking. It succeeds in two things that Dwayne Johnson is all about: humor and motivation.

Johnson says that wanted to get this app made because he believes passionately in helping people achieve their goals. When you start up the Rock Clock, you’re prompted to enter a goal before anything else. You can’t even use this alarm app until you’ve committed yourself to writing that novel or losing those fifteen pounds. Next you set a time to wake up every morning, but these alarms are not your usual ringtone fare.

All 25 of the ringtones were selected by Johnson, and many of them even feature his own voice. The default selection is simply him saying “beep, beep, beep” in a monotonous voice. Other alarms involve him calling you beautiful, smashing harps, and getting increasingly irritated that you won’t get out of bed. Every day you get a motivational message written by the Rock himself. You can even synchronize your alarm with Johnson’s so the two of you can wake up together every morning. You probably won’t want to, however. The Rock is a very early riser.
