We already know, thanks to some accidental leaks from the company itself, that Samsung will officially announce the Gear Fit 2 Pro next week in Berlin as part of the IFA 2017 trade show. Today, the head of Samsung’s mobile division confirmed we can expect to see a new member of its Gear S smartwatch family at the show as well.

In a chat with CNBC, DJ Koh, the president of Samsung’s mobile division, confirmed that a new Gear S device would be revealed next week. He declined to offer any more details on the product. The last such member of the family, the Gear S3, was officially announced at the IFA trade show in August 2016, and launched in November.

Koh also commented about the overall state of the wearable device industry. He admitted that sales of smartwatches have not taken off as much as previously predicted, but added that the reason was that they were currently not offering many features that consumers feel are useful. He stated that adding more health sensors and information to smartwatches might help make them more attractive to buyers. However, he also said that at the moment, the current sensor technology “[does] not look like enough.”

While we know almost nothing about the next Gear S smartwatch, the leaks for the Gear Fit 2 Pro have revealed it will have a 1.5-inch AMOLED display, 4 GB of onboard storage, a 200 mAh battery inside and will be water resistant up to 5 ATM, or about 50 meters.
