Sony Xperia C4 is getting Android 5.1 Lollipop after all
Sony seems to be having a hard time making up its mind. Though the Japanese manufacturer confirmed late last year that some of its handsets would skip Android 5.1 Lollipop and go directly to Marshmallow, something changed along the way.
The Sony Xperia C4 was one of these few devices, but today reports of an Android 5.1 Lollipop update have been spreading across the web. This was a bit disappointing to those of you who were already waiting for Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but at least we know the company is moving forward and keeping the phone relatively up-to-date. And we can still expect that Android 6.0 update to come… right? Let’s hope so!
This Lollipop update is coming to 5 out of the 6 versions of the C4; for some reason model E5343 is currently excluded. But this update does apply to both the regular Xperia C4 and C4 Dual. They will come in the form of build numbers 27.2.A.0.155 and 27.2.B.0.155, respectively.
If you have one of the 5 included Xperia C4 versions, go ahead and check for any updates. That is, if you haven’t received a notification yet. And don’t forget to hit the comments and let us know how the new update is treating you!
