Get a free year of Amazon Prime with Sprint's new XXL plan

Sprint has a new plan called Better Choice XXL and to encourage you to sign up for it, the carrier is offering a free year of Amazon Prime membership. (This isn’t the only reason to join Sprint right now either, with another promotion for Samsung Pay that could earn you up to $100 in gift cards) The Better Choice XXL plan is available to new connections as well as an upgrade from an existing plan.

Better Choice XXL costs $100 a month so it’s not for the faint of heart. But, as the name implies, it offers a pretty healthy serving of data. Better Choice XXL comes with 40 GB of high-speed data that can be spread amongst the whole family. If you somehow manage to burn through all that you can choose to have the connection throttled to 2G speeds or buy more high-speed data for $15 per GB. Better Choice XXL also includes unlimited talk and text.

Sprint takes a nice jab at Verizon too, pointing out that compared to Verizon, Sprint’s XXL plan provides double the data limit for the same price. You’ll also get a mobile hotspot, Sprint Global Roaming and free unlimited texting from within the U.S. to more than 180 countries internationally.

You can sign up online, call 1800-SPRINT1 or head on into a bricks and mortar store. Once you’re plan is activated you can start enjoying your free Amazon Prime subscription immediately.
