King's Knight is coming to Android more than 30 years after its original release

More than 30 years after it was originally released, a new and improved version of King's Knight is now in the Google Play Store.

Square Enix seems bound and determined to bring pretty much all aspects of its Final Fantasy universe to mobile. We previously told you about Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition and now Square Enix is back with another release, King’s Knight: Wrath of the Dark Dragon. King’s Knight, a mini game in FFXV, was originally developed in 1986 for Nintendo. The updated version is a vertical scrolling shooter with beautiful visuals.

The game’s story centers around the kidnapping of Princess Claire of Olthea by the Dark Dragon Tolfidan. You take on the role of four brave souls tasked by god Khalam to save the princess. King’s Kight features four-player multiplayer and updated graphics in a fun fantasy setting. You’ll shoot your way through enemies and obstacles until you reach your ultimate goal.

You can grab King’s Knight from the Google Play Store right now. It’s free but does offer some in-app purchases that range all the way up to $89.99.
