World of Tanks Blitz makes its way to the Play Store today
The online award-winning tank MMO World of Tanks Blitz has just been released to the Google Play Store after its success on iOS. The World War II-based game also comes with cross-platform multiplayer support, so your iOS friends don’t need to be left out of the fun. For those who haven’t played the game, players battle in short 7vs7 tank battles set during WWII. Players can choose between 10 different arenas and 100 different tanks, all split up into tank classes: light, medium, heavy, or tank destroyers. The name of the game is simple… destroy all other tanks.
Now that World of Tanks Blitz has cross-platform multiplayer, you can now take part in the in-game chat without ever leaving the match. This is an awesome feature that WoT veterans should be fond of, especially since the game was originally PC only. Obviously the game is going to act a bit differently since it’s now being played on a touch screen, but experienced players should be happy to hear that not much is missing from the widely popular PC version.
The game is free to download, though it offers a few in-app purchases. For most players, the IAPs won’t be necessary to experience this game to the fullest.
