Xiaomi might announce the Mi Note 2 at IFA 2016
IFA 2016 is the next big trade show on the calendar and invites have already begun going out for manufacturer events. Even though Xiaomi only just launched its Mi Max in India, a new teaser has appeared that is being interpreted as a Mi Note 2 launch for IFA in Berlin in September.
The teaser appeared on Chinese microblogging site Weibo and features a football stadium with the simple equation “2>5” emblazoned at the top. This apparently means the Mi Note 2 will be even more powerful than the Xiaomi Mi 5, but your guess is as good as ours.
At this point, the only thing known about the Mi Note successor is that it might employ a QHD display, a first for Xiaomi. Rumors indicate the display will be manufactured by Samsung and will have curved edges. A “Hi-Fi chip” and super fast-charging have also been rumored.
During the Mi Max launch in India, Hugo Barra hinted that there might be another device launch coming up this year for Xiaomi. The Mi Note 2 at IFA in Berlin makes the most sense of all, but we’re happy to hear your thoughts in the comments below. The big question now is: will it be available in America?
