Do you like Chrome OS, but hate laptops? Acer's newest Chromebox might be for you

Chrome OS is a solid alternative for those who live in the browser, but some people might want that alternative available at home. For them, the Acer Chromebox CXI3 might just fit the bill.
Teased during CES 2018, the Chromebox CXI3 comes with four Intel processor options: the Intel Celeron 3865U, seventh-generation Intel Core i3 7130U, eighth-generation Intel Core i5 8250U, or eighth-generation Intel Core i7 8550U.
The base version with the Celeron processor features 4GB of RAM, though you can pick up to 16GB if you need more memory. Depending on which variant you pick, you get either a 32GB or 64GB m.2 SSD. There is a micro SD card slot, if you need more storage.
Elsewhere, every Chromebox CXI3 variant features three USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, and one USB Type-C port. They also include a port for HDMI, LAN for gigabit ethernet, and headphones.
As a nice bonus, the Chromebox CXI3 includes a vertical stand and an option VESA mounting kit. The kit allows you to place the desktop to the back of your monitor for more space on your desk.
The Chromebox CXI3 is available from TigerDirect and NextWarehouse, though pricing depends on where you get it and which variant you go for. For example, TigerDirect offers the Celeron version for $298, while NextWarehouse sells it for $308.53.
If you want the fully specced-out model with the Core i7, TigerDirect and NextWarehouse sells it for $745 and $777, respectively.
