Acer Liquid Leap+ IPX7 fitness tracker costs less than $90
To complement the latest entries in its Liquid Z smartphone range, Acer has also announced its Liquid Leap+ fitness tracker, the successor to the company’s original Liquid Leap.
The Liquid Leap+ offers everything that we have come to expect from a fitness tracker. The device communicates with your smartphone using Bluetooth 4.0 and is IPX7 water resistant. The 1-inch OLED (128×32 pixels) touch screen offers details on your activity and sleep regimes, along with alerting you to smartphone notifications and granting access to music controls.
Acer has opened up its product and Leap Manager app to work with Android, iOS and Windows Phone smartphones, which is a sensible move given how many fitness options are already out there. The device also boasts a battery life in the region of 5 to 7 days.
The Liquid Leap+ will go on sale in Europe, the Middle East and Africa later this month with a €79 ($88) price tag and a range of color options to choose from. The Leap+ is competitively priced when compared with some of the industry’s leading fitness trackers, which might just be enough to make it stand out.
