Acer launches the Swift Air 16 and the incredibly light Swift Blade 14

- Acer has announced two new laptops: the Swift Blade 14 and Swift Air 16.
- The Blade 14 is a new sub-brand of the Acer Swift series.
- The Swift Air 16 is a lightweight computer that comes with up to a 3K resolution OLED display.
IFA 2026 is here, and that means we’re in store for a flurry of announcements over the next few days. Dell has already revealed its next batch of laptops and Alienware hardware. If you’re up for more laptop news, Acer is now giving us a look at the latest additions to the Swift series.
Acer Swift Blade 14
Acer has announced that it is adding a new sub-brand to the Swift lineup. This new sub-brand introduces the Swift Blade series, and the Swift Blade 14 will be the very first entry in it. Just like other models in the Swift line, the Blade 14 is designed to be light and portable. It will weigh only 799g (1.76 lbs), and it measures 12.9mm (0.51 in) thin.
Despite its slim design, it packs a fair amount of power with its Intel Core 7 processor 350. That processor is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5 memory and up to 1 TB of storage. Acer also managed to fit a 50Wh battery in that slender chassis.
One of the more notable aspects of this laptop is that you’ll be able to equip it with up to a 3K resolution OLED display. This display offers up to 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, has a 90% screen-to-body ratio with 4.3 mm ultra-slim bezels, and delivers a 16:10 aspect ratio.
There are three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports, and you’ll also get a 3.5mm headphone jack. On top of that, you get a Full HD camera with a camera switch.
Acer Swift Air 16
You won’t be getting a compact design with the Acer Swift Air 16, as you do with the Swift Blade 14. However, you are getting a 16-inch OLED display with up to 3K resolution. That display has a refresh rate of 120Hz and gets up to 500 nits of brightness. Along with those benefits, it comes with 100% DCI-P3 or IPS with 100% sRGB display options. You can also get the IPS display with support for multi-touch.
On the inside is an Intel Core 7 processor 350 with up to 40 platform TOPS and a dedicated NPU. The Swift Air 16 beats the Swift Blade 14 with 16 GB of LPDDR5x memory. However, you’ll only be able to upgrade the storage to 512GB.
While not as light and thin as the Swift Blade 14, the Swift Air 16 is no slouch. The Swift Air 16 weighs in at 3.31 lbs (1.5 kg), but is only a few millimeters thicker at 13.3mm. That slight amount of extra space allowed Acer to fit the laptop with a 70Wh battery, which can charge up to 50% in 30 minutes.

Availability
Acer does not have an exact date for when these two laptops will be available in the US. However, the company did offer a release window. You can expect both computers to become available in Q1 2027. The Swift Blade 14 will come in a magnesium-aluminum alloy and carbon fiber body that’s available in two colors: Marshmallow Blue and Marshmallow White. Meanwhile, the Swift Air 16 has an all-aluminum chassis that will come in three colors: Elemental Blue, Sage Green, and Sandstone Gold. Acer plans on revealing pricing information closer to the release.
