Adobe Photoshop Camera app brings real-time 'Photoshop-grade magic' to Android
Adobe already does a great job with mobile image editing apps like Lightroom and Photoshop Express. Now, the company is adding one more Android photo editing and camera app to its creativity suite. Called Adobe Photoshop Camera, the app uses AI to enable real-time photo editing.
The Adobe Photoshop Camera app is built on the company’s Sensei AI platform and framework. Adobe says that the app brings ‘Photoshop-grade magic’ to your smartphone camera.
Unlike many other photo editing apps, the Adobe Photoshop Camera app seems to have taken inspiration from the likes of Instagram and Snapchat. You will be able to apply different lenses and effects to your photos in real-time (i.e. before you click the picture).
Adobe says it will keep adding new lenses created by popular artists and influencers to the Photoshop Camera app.
You will also be able to change backgrounds of images in real-time, add stickers and shapes to them, and post edited pictures directly to social media platforms from within the app.
With the help of AI, the app will automatically optimize different scenes like selfies, food and scenery shots, and more. Other editing tools include quick fixes like portrait relighting and distortion removal.
While the app sounds pretty cool, you can’t get your hands on it just yet. Adobe says Photoshop Camera will be available widely on Android in 2020. However, you can sign up for a preview and request early access to the app for now.
