Alcatel OneTouch becomes the smartphone partner of Toronto FC
Alcatel continues to expand its brand in America, which makes today’s announcement one of the most important events in this continent. Alcatel OneTouch has officially become the official smartphone partner of Toronto FC, the Canadian city’s acclaimed soccer team.
Alcatel describes this as a “multi-year partnership”, which will result in a “focus on pre-game fan experiences, in-game fan engagement, social media, digital campaigns, in-game branding advertising and in-market promotion.”
This is definitely a big deal for Alcatel, as it’s their first time striking a deal like this, and it should definitely give them good reach in Canada, as well as other parts of North America. This news comes only a couple days after Alcatel announced Canadian availability of the OneTouch Idol 3 on June 30th, so it seems the company is putting quite an effort to pierce this competitive market.
“We’re excited to announce this new strategic partnership with Toronto FC, delivering on our commitment to build engagement around our brand as we continue to rise as one of the top smartphone manufacturers in the region.” -Dave Hopkinson, Chief Commercial Officer for MLSE
So if you like Soccer (or football, as the rest of the world calls it), you will be hearing a lot from Alcatel during the games. That will be all fun and honky dory, but if you really want to learn about the devices Alcatel makes, you should take a look at our Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 review. It’s one hell of a phone for the price, to be honest! I have personally been testing it for about a month and can’t complain about it.
