Original article: Amazon has confirmed that Prime Day 2021 is moving up this year. The event usually takes place in July. However, the company has decided to shift it to the end of June. Prime Day sales will start on June 21 at 12 AM PT (3 AM ET) and run through June 22.
Amazon reportedly had concerns over shipping delays and transportation slowdowns in July because it’s a big vacation month. The impact of the Olympics in the third quarter could further affect the progress of Prime Day. Hence, the company has landed on June to conduct the event.
“We’re excited for the return of Prime Day and look forward to providing our members with incredible savings while investing in opportunities for our small business selling partners and continuing to ensure the safety of our employees,” an Amazon representative said in a statement.
Amazon Prime Day 2021: Where is it happening?
Amazon Prime Day 2021 will take place for Prime members in the US, UK, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Spain, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Portugal, Netherlands, Mexico, Luxembourg, Japan, Italy, Germany, France, China, Brazil, Belgium, Austria, and Australia.
Amazon suggests you ask your Alexa-enabled devices to remind you about Prime Day 2021 dates. Just say, “Alexa, keep me posted on Prime Day.”
Prime Day was postponed to October last year due to the pandemic. However, it brought forth some great deals on smartphones, wearables, laptops, and many other electronics. This year will be no different.
Amazon Prime Day 2021 deals
Amazon has promised that Prime Day 2021 will have over two million deals across every category, including electronics, fashion, home, beauty, and more.
As always, Prime Day 2021 will also feature entertainment benefits and exclusives across Prime Video, Amazon Music, Prime Gaming, and more.
Prime members who haven’t tried Amazon Music Unlimited yet can now get a four-month subscription free with unlimited ad-free access.
Shoppers can also start availing Prime Day early deals starting June 18. The company says early exclusive offers and deals will be available from brands including JBL Headphones, Insignia Smart TVs, LEGO, Le Creuset, DEWALT Tools, and many more.
Prime members can get a $10 credit to spend on Prime Day when they spend $10 on items sold by select small businesses in Amazon’s store from June 7 to June 20.
Also, starting now for a limited time, new US Prime members who sign up for Prime using an Echo device will receive a $5 Amazon credit. Just say, ‘Alexa, sign me up for Prime.”
So if you’re planning to buy a new phone or a big home appliance, you might want to hold off till June 21.
