Price leaked for the Snapdragon 820 powered Le Max Pro

LeTV’s Le Max Pro was recently announced as the world’s first handset sporting Qualcomm’s new high-end Snapdragon 820 processor. However, as there hasn’t been an official launch event for the smartphone yet, we haven’t been given any official information about how much the smartphone will cost, only that it will go on sale sometime in the first half of 2016.

A report from Chinese website Mobile-Dad claims that the Le Max Pro will cost CNY 3,500, which works out to roughly $530 or Rs. 35,500. This would certainly put the smartphone at the upper end of smartphone price brackets, but given the hardware this is really not an unreasonable price tag.

Along with a Snapdragon 820 processor, the Le Max Pro will feature a 6.33-inch display with a QHD (2560×1440) resolution, 4GB of RAM and storage options in either 32GB, 64GB or 128GB configurations. There is also a 21 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, a USB Type-C port, Quick Charge 2.0 support, 4G LTE connectivity, a Qualcomm Sense ID fingerprint scanner, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow on board. So there’s plenty of hardware for your cash.

Although we have hardware details for LeTV’s Le Max Pro, we are still waiting on an official word about the price and whether or not the smartphone will make an appearance outside of china.
