LG G8X ThinQ with its second screen is crazy cheap (Update: Buy unlocked in US)
Update, November 13, 2019 (09:28 AM ET): You can now finally buy the LG G8X ThinQ unlocked in the United States. As of right now, the device only appears to be available unlocked from B&H Photo, but we expect it will land at other retail outlets — including Amazon and Best Buy — very soon.
In the meantime, you can buy the innovative dual-screen device unlocked from B&H for $700 or buy carrier-locked versions from Sprint and AT&T. Click one of the three buttons below to grab your device!
Original article, October 22, 2019 (03:07 PM ET): LG isn’t a company known for aggressively pricing its phones. Quite the opposite, actually: many of its devices are pretty overpriced for what you get. However, when it comes to the LG G8X ThinQ price, we’re pleasantly surprised to reveal that it is not only fairly priced but downright cheap considering what you get.
The LG G8X, as its name suggests, is a slightly modified version of its 2019 flagship, the LG G8 ThinQ. It has some upgrades to it — most notably the addition of an in-display fingerprint sensor and an upgraded selfie lens — while also downgrading some of the more frivolous features of the G8 (Hand ID, anyone?).
The real selling point of the G8X, though, is the innovative second display. This accessory snaps onto the phone and basically turns the device into a pseudo-foldable. The display allows for new capabilities such as gaming controls and interesting camera tricks by using the secondary display as your preview panel.
Even if you don’t care about the secondary display, the LG G8X ThinQ is still a great phone on its own merit. Check out the official specs below:

Considering the G8X comes with the secondary display in the box, what would you expect the LG G8X ThinQ price to be? Surprisingly, the device will only set you back $699, or $100 less than the starting price of the Google Pixel 4.
A 2019 smartphone with the specs listed above for just $699 is not a bad deal on its own, but when you throw in that secondary display you have yourself an unbeatable bargain. If LG is able to deliver Android 10 to this device and keep up with future Android updates — which its promised it will try to do going forward — the LG G8X ThinQ could be one of the best buys of the year.
The LG G8X ThinQ price will be $699 for the unlocked version which hits store shelves on November 1, 2019. Pre-orders will open on October 25 — stay tuned for purchase links!
