Surprise, Google just dropped Android 13 beta 2.1 for Pixel phones
- Google has launched Android 13 beta 2.1 for Pixel smartphones.
- The point upgrade offers bug fixes for what we saw in the second beta from earlier this month.
- It is available now for Pixel 4 and newer phones.
Earlier this month, during Google I/O 2022, the Big G dropped the second beta of Android 13. We expected the third beta to launch sometime in June, but some issues within the second beta simply couldn’t wait, it seems.
Today, Google dropped Android 13 beta 2.1. This is a subtle upgrade over this month’s earlier beta. It doesn’t appear to bring any new features, but it does fix some of the very annoying bugs users have faced since Google I/O.

- Fixed an issue where devices would crash and restart after disconnecting from Android Auto.
As with all previous versions of Android 13, this update is available for Pixel phones from the Pixel 4 onward. Unfortunately, Pixel 3 and Pixel 3a devices are not supported.
