Android 13 beta 2 drops, get it on your Pixel phone now!
- The second Android 13 beta is here for Pixel phones, starting with the Pixel 4 series.
- There are likely only two more betas to go before the stable launch.
- It is unlikely there are any major changes to the operating system since the first beta.
Today is the first day of Google I/O 2022. The company has already made a ton of hardware announcements, including the Pixel 6a, Pixel Buds Pro, and sneak peeks at the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel Watch. But don’t let that overshadow the fact that we have a new version of Android to try out!
The second beta of Android 13 is available now. As long as you have a recent Pixel phone, you can give it a shot. Specifically, that’s the Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a, Pixel 5, Pixel 5a, Pixel 6, and Pixel 6 Pro.

Google hasn’t posted an official changelog or promoted any new features yet. Unfortunately, that means we can’t tell you what’s new in the second beta, at least for right now. We will update our ongoing hub of Android 13 features, though, so stay tuned for that!
However, it is unlikely this new Android 13 beta has too much exciting new stuff. Android 13, as it stands, is a subtle refinement of Android 12, so most of the new and exciting stuff we’ve already seen in the previous beta and developer previews.
