The rollout of the stable version of Samsung’s Android 13 update continues. The latest handsets that are getting access to the long-awaited major OS update is the Galaxy S20 series.
Samsung began rolling out the stable version of its Android 13 update — One UI 5 — back in October. Although it first arrived for the Galaxy S22 series, the company is now releasing the update to more devices. Today, the update was found on the Galaxy S21 series and the Galaxy 20 Note series. Now it appears that the Galaxy S20 series is also joining today’s update frenzy, according to SamMobile.
At the moment, it seems that One UI 5 is ready for owners of the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra in Germany and Switzerland. While it’s only available at these locations right now, the update should come to other markets soon after. The update will bring all of the improvements Android 13 offers plus some additional benefits unique to Samsung devices.
Included with the One UI 5 update will be October’s 2022 security patch. For the 4G Galaxy S20 series, users can expect to receive firmware version G98xFXXUFGVJE. The 5G variants will instead get firmware version G988BXXUFGVJE.
If you live in Germany or Switzerland and you own a Galaxy S20 device, you can download One UI 5 right now. All you have to do is go to your Settings. From there, look for Software update and then tap on Download and install. After that, your phone will do the rest.
