Android 4.4.2 (KOT49H) rolling out to Nexus devices
Dozens of users are reporting that they are receiving over the air updates to their Nexus devices.
The small update brings the firmware on the Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (both generations) and the Nexus 10 to build number KOT49H. Just last week, Google released Android 4.4.1, an update focused on the camera performance of the Nexus 5; not all users received the 4.4.1 OTA yet, and it’s likely that 4.4.2 will roll out instead.
Here are the download links for Android 4.4.2 that are available at the moment of this writing:
- Nexus 4 4.4 to 4.4.2
- Nexus 5 4.4.1 to 4.4.2
- Nexus 7 (2013) WiFi 4.4 to 4.4.2
- Nexus 7 (2013) LTE 4.4 to 4.4.2
- Nexus 10 4.4.1 to 4.4.2

So far, the changelog for the OTA is pretty basic, but we’ll be able to tell you more once we get our updates:
- Fix for clearing the VM Indicator
- Fix for delivery of the VM Indicator
- Various additional software fixes
- Security enhancements
We’ll keep you posted.
Thanks, Raul!
