Android Wear 2.0 coming soon to LG Watch Urbane 2 and New Balance RunIQ
Back in February, Android Wear 2.0 made its debut on the LG Watch Sport and Watch Style. Since then, some manufacturers have already upgraded their smartwatches to the latest version of Android Wear. A few days ago, LG released the update for the G Watch R and Watch Urbane.
The company has now announced that the next device on the list is the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition. Those of you who own the smartwatch won’t have to wait for much longer to get the update. LG said that the device will get bumped up to Android Wear 2.0 in the beginning of May.
LG isn’t the only company that is currently working on the Android Wear 2.0 update. New Balance also announced that it will soon start rolling out the latest version of the OS to its first smartwatch called RunIQ. The update will be released this week and will make its way to all devices by no later than Friday, April 14.
The RunIQ, which was announced in January at CES in Las Vegas and retails for $299, will soon get a bunch of new features thanks to the update. These include standalone apps and new watch faces, among others. New Balance also mentioned that Android Wear 2.0 will improve the battery life of the device.
