Apple's upcoming stemless true wireless earbuds exposed by Apple
- The Apple subsidiary Beats could soon launch the Beats Studio Buds.
- The true wireless earbuds were spotted in Apple’s tvOS 14.6 and iOS 14.6 betas.
- They feature a stemless design, further cementing rumors that Apple could also ditch the stem on future AirPods.
Appel’s AirPods have more or less looked the same over the years, with a stem hanging off the earbuds. Many brands copied Apple’s unique design over time, but it looks like the firm is finally ditching it for a stemless look, at least for its new wire-free Beats earbuds.
MacRumors contributor Steve Moser found images of the new true-wireless Beats buds floating around in the tvOS 14.6 and iOS 14.6 betas. Called the Beats Studio Buds, the earphones are unlike any previous model from the Apple-owned brand. They don’t have any ear wraps like the Powerbeats Pro. Instead, they are tiny and feature an in-ear design similar to Google’s Pixel Buds.
The leaked images reveal that Apple’s Beats Studio Buds will be available in red, black, and white colorways. They’ll also come with an oval-shaped charging case.
According to 9to5Google, the Beats Studio Buds will feature an Apple chip to offer instant pairing and the “Hey, Siri” function. The code found in Apple’s beta software also reveals that the earbuds will bring noise cancellation on board.
Word has it that Apple’s second-generation AirPods Pro could also carry a stemless design. The company is reportedly testing a more rounded shape similar to the Beats Studio Buds that you see here.
