Apple’s Mac computers are among the most powerful and critically acclaimed machines around, bringing the firm’s MacOS software along with plenty of power. Now, a trusted source has revealed some of the company’s Mac plans.
Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman took to his Power On newsletter to reveal that Apple is testing a new iMac desktop computer. This is said to be a 24-inch model and is purportedly set to ship in the second half of 2023.
Gurman also claims that this new iMac is being tested with the same colors as its 2021 predecessor and could be equipped with the in-house Apple M3 processor.
Otherwise, the journalist says Apple is also planning to launch three more Mac computers in spring and summer 2023. These will apparently be the first 15-inch MacBook Air, a refreshed 13-inch MacBook Air, and a Mac Pro with Apple Silicon for the first time (M2 Ultra).
Looking beyond 2023, Gurman asserts that an iPad Pro with an OLED screen and M3 chip is set to launch in H1 2024. He also claims that the first MacBooks with an OLED screen and touchscreen support will arrive in 2025.
