It's official: The ASUS ROG Phone 7 is coming soon
- ASUS has announced a ROG Phone 7 launch event.
- The event will take place on April 13 at 8:00 PM EDT.
The ASUS ROG Phone line has been around since 2018, offering great performance, gaming-focused software additions, and capacitive shoulder triggers. Now, the Taiwanese brand has confirmed that the ROG Phone 7 is coming.
ASUS took to social media to announce that the ROG Phone 7 will be launched at an event on April 13 (8:00 AM EDT, 2:00 PM CET). The poster, seen below, doesn’t give us anything else to go on.
There’s no official word on specs and features just yet, but we’re expecting the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor to power the new gaming phone. We’re also expecting the firm to offer capacitive shoulder triggers once again, giving users extra input options in games.
ASUS also tends to offer more than one model for each generation, so don’t be surprised to see two or three ROG Phone 7 variants on the day. Either way, we hope the company ups the ante when it comes to updates, as its current policy is woeful (offering just two major OS upgrades).
