ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe and Laser finally hit Amazon
If you cast your minds all the way back to May, you may recall that Asus launched five handsets as part of its new ZenFone 3 range. Unfortunately, global availability hasn’t been particularly forthcoming since then, but the Zenfone 3 Deluxe and Laser models are today finally available in the US.
ASUS hasn’t made an official announcement about the release, but both phone are now available over at Amazon. The phones are unlocked, include a 1-year US warranty, and should start shipping out “within 2 to 5 weeks”. The Deluxe model is the more expensive of the two handsets, costing $530.48, while the Laser is less than half of the price at $206.95.
The Deluxe model is a large 5.7-inch 1080p metal smartphone, which boasts a Snapdragon 820 processor, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory, a 23MP rear camera, 3,000mAh battery, and a fingerprint scanner. The Laser variant chops this down to a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 430 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of memory, and a 13MP rear camera. Before you click that buy button, it’s important to note that these handsets do not support CDMA carriers in the US, such as Verizon or Sprint. Instead GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile are a safer bet, but support for some bands may be missing in certain areas.
It’s not clear if ASUS will be launching the rest of its Zenfone 3 range in the US any time soon, if at all.
