ASUS Zenfone 6 specs: You'll flip for these specs at this price
Today, ASUS took the wraps off its latest flagship, the ASUS Zenfone 6. Although the ASUS Zenfone 5Z was a pretty run-of-the-mill 2018 smartphone, the Zenfone 6 is anything but.
The biggest change with the ASUS Zenfone 6 is its flipping rear camera. Rather than putting a selfie cam permanently on the front or a pop-up selfie shooter as we’ve just seen on the OnePlus 7 Pro, ASUS invented a mechanism that flips the rear camera around to the front. This will enable you to take selfies at the same quality as you would using the device’s dual rear cameras.
This mechanism also allows for the front of the Zenfone 6 to be nearly all screen — a 92 percent screen-to-body ratio with no notch in sight.
Aside from that, the ASUS Zenfone 6 specs sheet is pretty decent, too. Check them out in the table below.

Those specs paint the picture of a 2019 flagship with some significant corners cut to keep the price low. For example, there’s no wireless charging, no IP rating, and no in-display fingerprint sensor (the Zenfone 6 has a rear fingerprint sensor).
However, ASUS didn’t skimp much on the internals. There’s the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor paired with the Adreno 640 GPU. There’s up to 8GB of RAM as well as up to 256GB of internal storage (expandable using the microSD slot). There’s a dual SIM tray, too — a must for people who frequently travel.

One of the standout features of the Zenfone 6, though, is its enormous battery, with a whopping 5,000mAh capacity. That’s 1,000mAh more than the just-announced OnePlus 7 Pro, and 900mAh more than the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus.
The starting price for the ASUS Zenfone 6 is $499/499 euro, which gets you the variant with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. That’s not a bad price to pay for a device with no notch, the latest top-tier processor, a ginormous battery, and an innovative flipping camera. Upping that to 128GB of storage will cost you 559 euro, and the 8GB of RAM/256GB of storage model will cost 599 euro.
