AT&T Galaxy Note 4 now receiving Lollipop update
Last month the Galaxy Note 4 started to receive Lollipop in select international markets, and earlier this month US owners on Sprint’s network also saw an update to Google’s sweet treat. On the heels of the Now Network, A&T is now rolling out Android 5.0.1 to the Galaxy Note 4.
As is typical, expect the update to roll out in stages, and so it may not be waiting for you just yet, even if you have an AT&T Note 4. If the update is ready, keep in mind that the update’s download speed is reportedly very slow, for whatever reason, and so it may take hours for the update to complete.
So what’s new here in this 1.1GB file? Like we’ve seen from other Samsung devices, material design elements from Lollipop are much less noticeable than they would be on a stock Android device. That said, there’s still plenty of changes such as brighter colors, an updated multitasking interface, a new lockscreen, Lollipop’s priority system and a number of bug fixes. Of course, Lollipop also introduces plenty of new bugs of its own that Android 5.1 aims to fix, but that’s a whole other story.
Have you managed to get your hands on the Note 4 AT&T Lollipop update yet? If so, what do you think so far?
