C. Scott Brown
C. Scott Brown is a technology journalist specializing in covering up-to-the-minute news about smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other mobile devices. Highlights of his career so far include the first leak of the LG Wing and, most recently, the leak of Google’s Pixel roadmap for the next few years. Highly opinionated about the tech industry, product design, and consumer concerns, he also pens dozens of commentary articles for Android Authority each year. Since joining Authority Media in 2018, he has advanced quickly from a freelance writer to a full-time editor. He has also become a mainstay at large tech events, including MWC and CES. You’ll also spot him at major smartphone launches, including those from Samsung and Google. Along with his work at Android Authority, you can hear his voice on your radio, as he is a regular presence on ABC Audio’s technology coverage. Scott’s first smartphone was a T-Mobile Sidekick, and his first Android phone was the Samsung Galaxy S2. Since then, he has never left Android, rocking a Google Pixel 8 Pro as his daily driver today. He writes on an ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 OLED (2023), blocks out the world with his trusty set of Sony WH-1000XM4, keeps tabs on his vitals with a Pixel Watch 2, and carries his life on his back with the Peak Design Everyday Backpack V2.
