Rita El Khoury
Rita is a seasoned tech journalist based in Paris who lives and breathes all things Android. She started writing about smartphones in 2007 and it’s been a love affair ever since. From Symbian to Windows Mobile, Blackberry OS, and iOS, Rita has seen it all, but Android’s versatility won her over from the moment she flashed her first custom ROM on her HTC Desire Z. She has spent over a decade testing and writing about Android ROMs, apps, games, and services, as well as covering and breaking the latest Android news, first for Android Police and later at Android Authority.
When she’s not busy attending product launches and trade shows like CES, MWC, and IFA, or guest-appearing on various tech podcasts, Rita can be found using the latest phones, wearables, smart home products, and other random gadgets. She is renowned for her expert opinions shared on Android Authority via reviews, commentaries, and experiential features. As Senior Features Editor, she also works with a team of writers to help them craft creative content, share their experiences with the latest smartphones and gadgets, and compare and contrast devices.
Rita’s current gadget lineup includes the latest and greatest from Google — a Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel Buds Pro, Pixel Watch 2, and Pixel Tablet. She uses an Apple M1 iMac for work and an old but trusty Google Pixelbook on the go. She also loves to kick back and relax with some rock music and Eurovision songs on her Nest Audio speakers, plan her next travel adventure on her iPad Air 4, or catch a Real Madrid game on her Chromecast. If you ever meet her, don’t be shy to say Hi, Hola, Bonjour, or Marhaba.
