AYN Odin 3 Portal is coming, could be the most powerful large handheld on the market
Oct 13, 2026 — 7:38 AM ET

- AYN has revealed that the Odin 3 Portal handheld is coming, hinting at “flagship power” in the process.
- The company also showed off the handheld’s design, and it looks virtually identical to the Odin 2 Portal.
- History suggests that the Odin 3 Portal will effectively be the Odin 3 with a larger screen.
The AYN Odin 3 is the most powerful Android handheld you can get, packing what is effectively a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. What if you want something a little larger, though? Well, the company has just announced that the Odin 3 Portal is coming.
AYN revealed the existence of the Odin 3 Portal via an image on Instagram and Discord. The picture confirms that the device will have “flagship power,” but we also get a look at the handheld’ design. Check out the image below.
There’s no word on changes compared to the Odin 2 Portal or Odin 3. Nevertheless, the Odin 2 Portal had the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset and 8,000mAh battery as the Odin 2, but offered a 7-inch OLED screen versus the standard model’s 6-inch OLED panel. We’re therefore expecting the Odin 3 Portal to have the Odin 3’s Dragonwing Q8 processor (basically a Snapdragon 8 Elite without a modem) and a larger screen.
There’s also no official word on pricing just yet, but the RAM crisis has wrought havoc on the handheld space. The Odin 3 in particular has received several price hikes and now costs $369. So don’t be surprised if the Odin 3 Portal retails for $400 or more.
Nevertheless, we thought the Odin 2 Portal was one of the best Android handhelds on the market, despite launching back in 2023. So we have high hopes that the Odin 3 Portal will pick up where its predecessor left off.
