OnePlus 6T Headphones

One of the few strikes against the OnePlus 6T is that it is the first phone from the company to ditch the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of its USB Type-C port (although the phone does come with a USB Type-C to headphone jack adapter). Having said that, the quality of wireless Bluetooth headphones and earbuds, both from OnePlus and from third-party companies, is getting better and better.

OnePlus has launched its own Bullets wireless earbuds that look very much like Apple’s BeatX product. The $69 earbuds support the aptX audio codec and are an excellent choice for OnePlus 6T owners who really want to go completely wireless.

In addition to the new wireless Bullets, OnePlus plans to sell USC Type-C versions of its OnePlus Bullets V2 earphones for $19.95, so OnePlus 6T owners can still have that wired earphone experience without the need for an adapter.

OnePlus 6T chargers

The OnePlus 6T gets a bigger 3,700mAh battery inside this time, compared to the 3,300mAh battery found in the OnePlus 5, 5T and 6 phones. The good news is that the battery still supports OnePlus’ fast charging technology (which used to be called “Dash Charge” until that name became involved in a trademark dispute). While we don’t know exactly how fast the OnePlus 6T’s battery will fully charge from nothing, it’s likely that it will take just over an hour.

The trick is that in order to take advantage of that fast charging tech, the OnePlus 6T needs its own proprietary USC Type-C cable and adapter. While you get such a cable and adapter in the box with the phone, you can also purchase extra OnePlus fast charging cables from the company for $14.95, and extra adapters for $19.95. The company also sells its own fast charging car charger for $29.95. Finally, there are plenty of bundle deals on the site where you can purchase extra charging cables and adapters together for a discount.

OnePlus 6T external batteries

While the 3,700mAh battery on the OnePlus 6T should be able to handle a full day’s worth of use on a single charge (if not longer) there might come a time when the phone runs out of power, and you are not near a handy power socket. In that case, it’s always good to take an external battery with you.
