Pre-order the Blackberry Key2 starting June 29 (Updated)
Blackberry’s heyday is long gone, but don’t count it out completely. Last year TCL brought us the Blackberry KeyOne, a masterful blend of nostalgia and modern smartphone prowess. A year later the Key2 has arrived packing a similar design with plenty of refinements, on the surface and under the hood.
The KeyOne debuted with just one design option, though BlackBerry added the KeyOne Black variant later in 2017. This time, Blackberry is giving us more choices, launching an all-black version and a dark gray model with silver trim.
Don’t miss: Blackberry Key2 is here – what you need to know
The Blackberry Key2 is a niche device, but it’s worthy of your attention if you yearn for a physical keyboard option in 2018. So, how much is it, and where and when can you get it? Below you’ll find a list of markets where you’ll be able to pick up Blackberry’s latest.
Blackberry Key2 release date: U.S.
The BlackBerry Key2 release date is July 13, with pre-sales at Amazon and Best Buy beginning June 29. It’s coming in two versions, silver and black, and is compatible with GSM carriers such as T-Mobile and AT&T.
Blackberry Key2 price: U.S.
The Blackberry Key2 will cost $649.99 unlocked in the U.S. This model will include 6GB of RAM and 64GB storage. Unfortunately, that’s your only option if you’re in the U.S., as the dual-SIM/128GB variant is reserved for unspecified “non-U.S.” markets. For comparison, this is a $100 increase over the KeyOne’s debut price.
BlackBerry Key 2 price: Canada
The BlackBerry Key2 will be available from Amazon, Best Buy, Staples, Blueshop, Walmart, and Visions for $830 CAD. Regardless of the retailer, the Key2 will be available unlocked and in silver.
If you prefer the black variant and do not want to pay so much money upfront, Canadian carriers Bell, Rogers, SaskTel, and Telus will also offer the Key2.
Starting with Bell, the carrier will sell the Key2 starting July 6 for $99 on a two-year term. Rogers will also open Key2 sales July 6 for a slightly lower $95 on a two-year term. If you cannot wait that long, Rogers will open pre-orders for regular and business customers starting today, June 21.
SaskTel will offer the Key2 for $99 on a two-year term beginning July 6. Finally, Telus will sell the Key2 for $100 on a two-year term starting July 6.
We will provide direct links once they are available.
Blackberry Key2 price: UK and rest of Europe
European Blackberry fans will be able to get the Blackberry Key2 sometime in June for a price of 579 Euros, or 579 pounds for those in the UK. It’s possible the Dual-SIM 128GB variant will be offered in parts of Europe, but we can’t say where specifically just yet.
