The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 offers adventure fans hours of funny gameplay
Adventure game fans may be fewer in number then they once were, but they are typically very hardcore when it comes to this genre. The German developer King Art Games is keeping the tradition alive with its own contribution in the Book of Unwritten Tales series. The first game was launched in 2012, and the sequel, The Book of Unwritten Tales 2, has just been released for Android in the Google Play Store after making its debut in 2015 for the PC and consoles.
If you love the movie The Princess Bride, you might enjoy playing The Book of Unwritten Tales 2. The game takes the familiar fantasy story themes (bold adventure, a princess in danger and more) but it also is a parody of that genre, with lots of jokes and winks to the audience.
The game features a way to control four different characters and the developer claims there’s over 20 hours of content to check out. Based on our brief time playing the introduction and tutorials, The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 definitely has some great looking graphics, and the art style reminds us of illustrations in our favorite children’s books. The user interface works well with touch controls, which is good considering you will have to be tapping a lot to open doors, fix engines or just to move your character about. The voice acting in the game is also excellent, and is definitely of a higher caliber than what you might find in other adventure games.
All in all, if you are a fan of the adventure “point-and-tap” genre, or just a fan of funny fantasy stories, you might want to check out The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 for yourself. The game is now live in the Google Play Store for $4.99, and again you are supposed to get over 20 hours of gameplay, so you should get a lot of bang for your buck. Be aware that the game’s file size is 2.62GB, so you will definitely need to use a WiFi connection to download this title.
